Our Courses at a Glance

  • Towing a trailer (B+E license)
  • Typically a 3-session course
  • MGV – Medium goods vehicles (C1 license)
  • For vehicles between 3.5 and 7.5 tonnes, including horseboxes, ambulances and delivery vehicles – course length varies depending on experience (average 4 sessions)
  • LGV – Large Goods Vehicle (C and C+E license)
  • For vehicles over 7.5 tonnes, including fire engines, rubbish collection vehicles and long-haul vehicles with detachable trailers – course length varies (average 5 to 6 sessions)
  • PCV – Passenger Carrying Vehicles (D and D1 license)
  • For minibuses and coaches – course duration varies

Forklift and Hiab Crane Courses

Hazardous Goods Courses and Periodic CPC Courses

Qualified instructors will train you on the fundamentals of hazardous goods transport for packages, tanks, and classes 2 to 9. We also offer added tanker training for existing license holders. Update from the Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency


The changes affect:

  • Staging requirements for lorry and bus licences
  • The off-road manoeuvres part of vocational driving tests being done by third-parties

Subject to Parliamentary processes, both changes will be introduced on Monday 15 November 2021.
